March 17 – Review by Officer Nice – VANISH: ALTERED INSANITY (Fastball Music / Rock Inc.)

Bizarre times if you would ask me. I’ve lived through times of Tsjernobyl, the era of 9/11, the IS attacks and now we’re heading the Corona virus. Well, we will survive as well, only I fear the next edition of the Keep It True Festival will be cancelled. And that really pisses me off, although I understand the reasons why. Anyway, the good thing is some of us, not me, are forced to stay at home and that gives the opportunity to listen to some more music. 2020 has been a good year until now and I’d bet the best is yet to come.

Because of the fact you have some extra time I’m asking you to listen to the EP of a band called Vanish. This is a goodie that fans of first class Heavy/Power Metal surely need to purchase. When you know that Tim Ripper Owens and Ralf Scheepers are present here you’ll probably understand why I really want to convince you about this band. Also Rock singer Alicja Mroczka participated on this one. This German band is active since 2000 and released some albums ever since. I have a few of them in my collection and I have always been very positive about this Progressive Power Metal band. About this EP I can be but positive as well because this is a very strong band. It is an intelligent band, with high qualified song writers and ditto performers. The technical yet intense played guitar parts are impressive, the drums are amazing and also Bastian Röse is a very gifted singer. Believe me the guest singers did a fantastic job as well, making this EP even more worth to check out. READ MORE…
