April 16 – Review by Stefan – LOST LEGACY – IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM (Pure Steel Records)

This American quintet has been active for 20 years and since then they have released 1 single album, “The Aftermath” (2009). Lost Legacy brings US Heavy/Power Metal, a style of music I’ve carried in my heart since the very early 80’s. Being a supporter of US Metal for many decades, I think it’s a shame that a fine band like Lost Legacy has eluded me all this time. That’s one more reason why I really appreciate this release by Pure Steel Records, one of those US Metal related I really praise. So these guys stayed under my radar until now. Finally the time has come get to get in touch with Lost legacy’s music… may I present you to their brand new and second album “In The Name Of Freedom”.

Well, originally formed back in 1988, The Bronx-New York based Lost Legacy have already had the honor of sharing the stage with big names like Attacker, Fates Warning, Metal Church, Lizzy Borden, Circle II Circle, Whiplash, Dokken and stuff. Although I’m not aware of Lost Legacy’s musical past, I’m convinced that this is a typical example of an outstanding US Metal act that hasn’t received the attention they really deserved. READ MORE…
